Legacy SEPTEMBER Update

Hi Legacy Students, Parents and Leaders...
Get your calendars ready.. not only is school starting, but there is  TON of stuff going on in LEGACY too! We know not everyone can make everything, but talk to your family and see what things would work with your schedules. There is a lot of great things that you can be a part of and we want to continue to make more available. Please never hesitate to contact me if you have questions about anything going on. Your best bet is email and I will try to respond to you as soon as I am able. Enjoy the last couple days of summer because here comes fall!!!!

August Reminder: LEGACY Parent and Student UPDATE Meeting
Sunday, August 28th @ 9am
Legacy Backroom
I would like to invite EVERY JH and HS LEGACY STUDENT AND PARENT to an LEGACY Student Ministries Update Meeting the last Sunday of August at 9am. I am going to give some information on our new IMPACT Team this year, our over-seas mission trip this summer and other various things happening this fall. Please make every effort to attend, as this will be one of the only times we will make our IMPACT applications available.

"Generation Change" Class
Starts Sunday, September 25th at 9am in the LEGACY Room.
Student Kits will be given out at this time, so please make sure you have paid your $10 in the bookstore beforehand.

LEGACY Special Ops
All information about our **new** Impact Team this year will be given at our Parent/Student Update Meeting. Make sure you grab an application if you are interested in being apart of this discipleship team this school year.

The BURN Event

The BURN Event Website
This is a Pre-Call Youth Rally gather students to get charged up before the school year comes to a full start. The BURN Event is going to make way and prepare the ears, eyes, hearts and minds of this up and coming generation.
Students will need to be dropped off at Oakland Christian Church at 4:30pm
and picked up at 8:00pm (Legacy Youth Leaders will be in attendance with your students)
Cost is FREE!!!

ELIJAH REVOLUTION Conference
Friday, September 30th- Saturday, October 1st
Community Christian Church
Cost per person: $20
Speakers: Lou Engle, David Silker

Elijah Revolution Website
This is a Pre-Call Youth Conference designed for the JH and HS students in the Detroit Metro Area. Elijah Revolution, a new ministry working in partnership with The Call, Luke18 Project, and IHOP–KC, is launching teen conferences and high school campus initiatives, calling teenagers to a life of wholehearted devotion to Jesus and radical commitment to God, in the spirit of a Nazirite.

Conference Schedule:
Friday, September 30th
5pm- Registration
7pm- Session 1
Saturday, October 1st
10am- Session 2
2pm- Session 3
7pm- Session 4

We will need to Pre-Register, so permission slips and $20 is due in the Cafe' by September 18th. We will be meeting at the church on Friday at 4pm and will be returning around 11pm. We will be meeting at the church on Saturday at 9am and will be returning around 11pm. Please bring money for food throughout the day.

ATTENTION PARENTS and ADULTS: The Elijah Revolution Conference will have a Parent/Adult Prayer Room set up the entire conference with worship for any adult that would like to attend the conference to pray for the students of Detroit.

Back-2-School BASH
Wednesday, September 7th @ 7pm
Come join us as we pray over all of our students heading into this next school year. Also, be ready for a fun game of "Are You Smarter Than A Youth Leader?"

Corn Maze Challenge
Friday, September 23rd
8:30pm-12:30am (immediately following the Friday night prayer meeting)
We will be meeting and returning to New Life.
Please bring a flashlight, $10 to get into the maze and any money you want for concessions.

• All of our students heading back into the school year: for wisdom, opportunity and boldness
• All of our Pre-Call Events for youth: that our hearts would be stirred for our city.
• For those praying about joining Special Ops this year: for clarity and direction.
