Hi Legacy Students, Parents and Leaders...I have been overwhelmed in prayer this month as I have been praying for our teenagers. Here are some scriptures that I have been speaking over the youth for this upcoming year. Will you join with me?
- Psalm 145:4-7- One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
- Habakkuk 3:2- O Lord I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy
- Psalm 51:10-13- Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your Presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your generous spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You.
- Isaiah 44:3- For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

IMPACT Team 2010/2011October 2010- April 2011
We seek to allow students to use their God-created purpose and talents to reach a generation that is desperately in need of IMPACT. Students who join the IMPACT Team will not only have an opportunity to act on their faith by ministering to others, but will also be empowered and equipped for ministry through discipleship and leadership training.
IMPACT Applications available Wednesday, September 8th- On this day we will also be explaining IMPACT and going over this years expectations. If any student or parent has any questions concerning this years IMPACT Team, please don't hesitate to contact Pastor Lori.
IMPACT Applications due Wednesday, September 22nd- Please turn your application in to the bookstore along with your application fee. All checks made payable to "New Life Ministries" designated for "Legacy IMPACT"
First IMPACT Special Ops Meeting is Monday, October 4th from 7pm-9pm in the Legacy Junior High room. Please bring your Bible and a writing utensil.

In each case, they are met with fear... sheer speechlessness, humility, and complete surrender. Most people today have lost this fear. We must understand that a true fear of God leads to the keeping of His commandments, leads to life, and is the beginning of wisdom. Everyone who has come face-to-face with God falls over in fear. Do you think you’d do anything different?

Water Baptism Service/ Church Picnic
We had such a wonderful time at our Water Baptism and Church Picnic. It was so exciting to see so many youth get baptized! This will be an annual occurrence, so if you are interested in getting baptized, but were unable this time around, you will have opportunity next year. If you were baptized, please pick up your certificate at the Welcome Center.

In this information age, teenagers have MORE access to MORE information MORE quickly than ever before. Unfortunately, this generation of young people is perhaps the most Biblically illiterate since the invention of the printing press. Too often we are more interested in OUR words than GOD’S WORD and it’s time we learn why the Bible is powerful and how to experience that power in our own lives. Please click on each session to receive the note handouts the students received.

Session 3: Digging In!

Summary: A new research study from the Barna Group explores the changing religious environment of teenagers, comparing their participation in personal and group forms of faith over the past dozen years. While most teenagers remain spiritually active in some way, it appears that six specific types of teen faith engagement are declining.

Free Stuff: Truth For Youth Bible
On Monday, August 30 at 8:00 am American Family Association and Revival Fires International will host the ninth annual 'Truth For Youth" Week across the nation. The project will continue through Friday, September 3. During this vital project, in a very effective and unique evangelism outreach, a 'Truth For Youth" Bible (TFY), will be given to all teenagers who commit to give the Bibles to their unsaved friends in school.
